2008
- Peter Gérard (61) takes over as new CEO of IDS Scheer AG on September 1, 2008 and assumes managerial responsibility for the regions Americas and Asia Pacific. Besides he heads the central departments Human Resources, Corporate Development, Legal Services and Marketing.
- Jörg Vandreier takes over as new CFO on January 1, 2008 and assumes managerial responsibility for corporate finance, investor relations and internal IT.
- New subsidiaries are established in Spain in January and Italy in February.
2007
- In February, Microsoft selects IDS Scheer as a preferred partner of the new founded Business Process Alliance.
- IDS Scheer is named a leader in the April report, “Forrester Wave: Enterprise Architecture Tools: Q2 2007.”
- In June, SAP and IDS Scheer expand their existing Reseller Agreement for ARIS Platform globally.
- Maureen Fleming, Program Director at IDC states in August: “IDS Scheer, I would argue, knows more about process than any company in the world.”
- IDS Scheer opens a new office in Sydney, Australia to the turn of the year.
2006
- Internationalization continuous at the Balkan: IDS Scheer d.o.o. Croatia is founded in February, the offices are to be found in Zagreb und Split.
- At ProcessWorld Europe ’06 in Amsterdam, IDS Scheer and Corticon Technologies announce a partnership to fully integrate Corticon’s business rules modeling in ARIS Platform.
- In August, IDS Scheer signs a cooperation with Oracle: The company expands its Oracle Fusion middleware’s Business Process Management offering with IDS Scheer’s ARIS Platform. The new partnership boosts ARIS as a worldwide process standard for software configuration.
- Thomas Volk (48) takes over responsibility as CEO and President of IDS Scheer on September 1, 2006. He is also head of Software Sales and Global Marketing.
- In October, the leading research firm Forrester names IDS Scheer a market leader in Business Process Modeling tools. It cites strategic partnerships with SAP, Oracle and Microsoft, and strength of products as key differentiators.
2005
- With effect of January 1, 2005, IDS Scheer acquires a 75% share of the Russian consulting company Business Logic, thus having subsidiaries in 21 countries worldwide.
- Market launch of ARIS Business Architect, ARIS Business Designer, ARIS Business Publisher and ARIS PPM 4.0
- IDS Scheer successfully expands development cooperation with SAP AG in the direction of Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) with the new release ARIS for SAP NetWeaver.
- With its ARIS Audit Manager, IDS Scheer is introducing an enhanced software package for company wide compliance management.
- IDS Scheer establishes the second subsidiary in Scandinavia: The office of IDS Scheer Finland Oy is located in Helsinki.
2004
- In March, IDS Scheer sets up its subsidiary in Shanghai and enters the Chinese market with a project at steel giant Baosteel.
- Together with SAP, IDS Scheer launches operations of the Institute for Business Process Innovation, a joint global initiative to strengthen collaboration between the corporate and academic communities.
- IDS Scheer presents ARIS SOx Audit Manager, an audit workflow program enabling customers to comply with all the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- The leading IT Research Firm AMR Research highlights IDS Scheer’s ARIS as a “must-have” investment for companies planning to use SAP NetWeaver.
- With effect of September 1, 2004, IDS Scheer acquires a 100% share of the German-Swiss consulting firm Balink, thus becoming one of top consulting houses in the European process industry.
- In November, IDS Scheer and Balanced Scorecard Collaborative CEE sign a co-operation contract in the area of strategic consulting.
2003
- Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer receives the Philip Morris Research Prize, one of the most prestigious awards for scientists in Germany. The award is conferred for his development of the ARIS software.
- IDS Scheer is promoted to the TecDAX, the prestige index of the German stock market wihtin the Prime Standard.
- IDS Scheer becomes SAP Global Services Partner, extending its partnership worldwide with SAP.
- IDS Scheer presents the new version of ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM 3.0) and integrates all products of the ARIS family in the ARIS Process Platform.
- The 40,000th ARIS license is sold in the first half of the year.
- IDS Scheer takes over Groupe Expert, leading Western European consulting firm with offices in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and French-speaking Switzerland, Groupe Expert is among the leading consulting firms in Western Europe.
- More than 750 participants from 35 countries were attending ProcessWorld 2003, IDS Scheer‘s international users‘ conference in Bonn.
- IDS Scheer moved to no 11 among the „top 25 IT consulting and systems integration companies in Germany“ on the Lünendonk List. The company advanced further than any other competitor evaluated, rising nine ranks from 20th the year before.
- IDS Scheer takes over profitable Eastern European and North American Business from Plaut AG and will thus reinforce its leading position in Eastern Europe with more than 500 employees and intensify its expansion of North American business with over 200 employees in the US and Canada. This strategic strengthening will provide an additional impetus to the mid-sized companies market, putting IDS Scheer on the path to becoming a complete service provider with business process management software and consulting as well as IT and strategic consulting.
- As of August 2003, IDS Scheer has over 2,050 employees working for approx. 4,000 customers worldwide.
- In October, Prof. Scheer is declared ”Entrepreneur of the Year” in the ”Information Technology” category by Ernst & Young.
- IDS Scheer and SAP sign a strategic partnership to unite process management and business software, integrating ARIS Process Platform with the SAP NetWeaver™ Platform.
2002
- IDS Scheer is entering into a joint venture with Procont-Holding, under the terms of which it will take control of its long-time Hungarian partner‘s sales and product lines business unit to actively service the growing Hungarian market. Thus, the international consulting and software company IDS Scheer AG is consistently pursuing its strategy of growth in central and eastern Europe.
- 650 participants of 29 countries visited ProcessWorld 2002, IDS Scheer‘s international users‘ conference in Berlin.
- The year 2002 not only marks the tenth year of successful existence of ARIS, the world's leading software for business process modeling, but it is also the year in which the 30,000th ARIS license has been sold.
- IDS Scheer takes over Seco, a German consulting and software company. IDS Scheer expects the acquisition of this experienced team of ARIS experts to provide an additional competency in the continued development of ARIS products as well as an increase in product sales and product-related consulting services.
- IDS Scheer has once again been positioned in the Leader Quadrant of the Gartner Group’s Business Process Analysis/Modeling Magic Quadrant in the recent research note, “The BPA Market Catches Another Major Updraft,” published in June 2002. This marks the second year in a row that Gartner has featured IDS Scheer as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant.
- The new consulting and development center for approx. 350 employees of IDS Scheer at the IT Park Saarland, as part of IDS Scheer's headquarters buildings, has been completed on time.
- IDS Scheer takes rank no. 20 in the so-called Lünendonk List showing the largest German and international IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany.
- The Executive Board and Supervisory Board of IDS Scheer have adopted a Corporate Gsovernance statement that predominantly reflects the recommendations of the Government Commission for German Corporate Governance Code.
2001
- Effective January 1, 2001, Dr. Ferri Abolhassan took charge of the new Executive Board portfolio for International Business.
- Room for further growth will be offered in the new consulting and development center that is being built adjacent to the headquarters in Saarbrücken. 1,000 employees will be working in this new building as of mid 2002.
- Gartner Group awards international leading position to IDS Scheer. IDS Scheer once again leads the way as a Business process analysis/modeling market leader and visionary.
- Once again: ARIS in the lead at international tool evaluation. The Fraunhofer Institute for Work Management and Organisation has, in coorporation with the newspaper Computerwoche, conducted a series of tests of software systems for business process management. The ARIS Toolset of IDS Scheer has once again been graded first place in the category of modelling tools.
- Over 600 participants from 20 countries at ProcessWorld 2001, IDS Scheer‘s international users‘ conference in Bonn.
